Welcome. I’m glad you’re here!
-
My family sessions are relaxed and flexible. I expect kids to move, take breaks, and be themselves. I’ll guide things when it helps, but I don’t force moments or expect perfect behavior.
I approach family photography with the idea that real connection matters more than everything going perfectly. The goal is photos that feel like your family as you are right now.
-
My maternity sessions are calm, comfortable, and gently guided. I approach these sessions with a focus on helping you feel at ease in your body, without anything feeling stiff or overly posed.
My newborn sessions take place at home and move at your baby’s pace. I keep things simple and unhurried, focusing on the quiet, everyday moments that make this season what it is.
-
My senior sessions are laid back and personal. I give clear direction, but I keep things easy so nothing feels forced or overdone.
I approach senior photography as a collaboration. Whether you come in with a vision or have no idea where to start, I’ll help guide things so the photos feel natural and true to you.

My school portrait days are designed to feel calm, efficient, and kid friendly. I work quickly while still giving each child space to feel comfortable and seen.
I approach school photography with the same mindset as my family sessions. Simple setups, gentle direction, and photos that show real personality instead of forced smiles. I work with preschools, elementary schools, and select pop ups throughout the Seattle area.
I’m Jessica, a Seattle based photographer specializing in family, maternity, newborn, and senior sessions.
My approach is guided but relaxed, with plenty of room for real connection and moments that don’t feel forced.
Below is a quick overview of the sessions I offer and how to get started.
What working with me is like
I keep sessions easy and low pressure. I’ll help plan ahead of time, give direction when it’s helpful, and adjust as we go. You never need to worry about what to do or how to stand. I’ll guide you through it.
I’ve spent over 15 years working with kids, so flexibility is built into how I work. Kids can move, take breaks, and be themselves. Things don’t need to be perfect to be photographed. The goal is always an experience that feels comfortable and photos that feel real.
FAQs
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
1
That’s completely okay. I’ve spent over 15 years working with kids, so this isn’t new territory for me. Sessions are flexible, breaks are always okay, and I’m happy to follow their lead instead of forcing anything.
I’m awkward in photos. Is that a problem?
2
Not at all. Most people feel awkward in front of a camera. I’ll help with pacing and direction so nothing feels performative or uncomfortable. We’ll lean into what feels natural and let the rest go.
Do you help with posing, or is it more candid?
3
A little of both. I’ll give clear direction so you’re not left wondering what to do, but nothing is overly posed or forced. I guide things, then let moments unfold naturally so the photos still feel real.
Where do sessions take place?
4
Sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, or somewhere that feels like you. I don’t believe there’s one “right” type of location. Some of my favorite sessions happen in familiar spaces or places that are a little out of the box.
I’ll help you choose a location that fits your family and the kind of photos you’re drawn to, so it feels comfortable and not overthought.
