How to Prepare For Your Fall Mini Session in Seattle
Thanks so much for booking a Fall Mini Session! I’m really looking forward to photographing your family and creating images that feel real, natural, and true to you. Here’s a quick guide to help you get ready for your session.
Be on Time
Fall Mini Sessions are short and scheduled around the best light of the day. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can make the most of your time. If you’re late, I may not be able to extend your session since these are booked back-to-back.
What to Wear
When it comes to outfits, comfort and simplicity always win. Stick with pieces that feel like you — soft textures, neutral or earthy tones, and layers for Seattle’s unpredictable fall weather. Boots that can handle wet grass are always a good idea.
Bringing Your Dog
Dogs are absolutely welcome at my fall family photo sessions. Just make sure they’re leashed and bring a few treats or a favorite toy to help grab their attention when needed.
Helping Kids Feel Comfortable
If your kiddo isn’t too sure about having photos taken, no worries at all. I keep things relaxed and fun so they can warm up at their own pace. You don’t need to tell them to smile; I’ll guide things naturally so we capture those genuine moments. Snacks, little breaks, or small games are always welcome.
Seattle Weather & Rescheduling
We all know Seattle weather can change fast. A little mist or cloud cover actually photographs beautifully, but if it’s a downpour, I’ll reach out to reschedule. My goal is to keep the experience easy and enjoyable, rain or shine.
That’s it! If you have any questions before your session, just send me a quick message. I can’t wait to see you soon and capture your family this fall.
